Its would be to Intesting to know how Nike classifies remote workers with the Warn Act. I say this because MINI WARN ACTS exist in various states and carry their own requirements and penalties. If you are remote do your homework!

So does this mean that after this week we’re going to do it all again at the end of June?

@msb+1s8lZnS3 NXT DPC had about 50, HR had about 50, rest of NXT was about 50… not really assumptions about numbers. The math is the math

If you want to know how big take $450m severance accrual and divide by 200k on average severance. It’s high as fat cats get more. That’s 2250 heads globally. 740 is merely a subset. Don’t be fooled by the company’s funny math. They aim to hide the true number to prevent panic and bad PR. That’s why they said 2 percent but retail and distribution hourly employees are excluded. Once you back those out you get a much larger percentage of ten to 15 percent. Yeah it’s a lot. That’s why it’s been broken up into phases and done over two years. Wake up kool aid drinkers.

Make your own assumptions. No one knows how many were laid off till now . If you want some positivity assume both phases 740. Need sleepless nights for next few days assume 740 only in second phase. :D

@ell+1s8lZnS3 There were already 500 in the US, at WHQ. Why is it so important to you to argue and repost the same points?

WARN is only related to US based employees as far as I understood. That means that the other 500 are in AP, GC and EMEA.

No way this is accurate in considering “recent layoffs”. If considering only Feb, and excluding Nov and Dec it means only a couple hundred next week which isn’t enough to close campus or they would’ve done it in December when they had the same numbers.

@idd+1s8lZnS3 huge assumption you’re making

“effect by June 28, 2024, … impacted by this and the recent prior permanent reduction of workforce.”

Could easily mean April, May and June layoffs, not referring to Feb, December or November.

How is this possible when November and December was 200 and Feb was 480?

Its includes both phases.

Read the WARN notice:
https://ccwd.hecc.oregon.gov/Layoff/WARN
"740 ... by this AND THE RECENT PRIOR"

"As a result of a second phase of impacts, which will take effect by June 28, 2024, approximately 740 employees
at WHQ will have been impacted by this and the recent prior permanent reduction of workforce

No that’s phase 2 only. It excludes prior phases. Phase 1 was around 500. And 2023 was several hundred.
