The hacking debacle that made the news of 70+ million people should not be swept under the carpet. They list all the things compromised…
Social Security numbers, passcodes, full names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and AT&T account number. Then they like to sum it up with it does not appear to include financial information.
Oh THANK GOD, it doesn’t include financial information. Its not like with all the other information provided there’s no way they could ever use it to find out financial information. Its not like they can’t use your SSN number as a means of identification to call into Wells Fargo, Fidelity etc… to get access to your accounts. Thank God that could never happen.
The free 1 year credit monitoring is not enough. It’s not like as soon as your information is obtained they immediately use it. They information floats around there forever to used by hackers at any time they feel the need. I myself already have credit monitoring by all 3 of the credit agencies. For the first time ever, I’ve received notification that my SSN and email was found on the dark web. Thanks alot AT&T.
