Everyone at the van is an etw except for literally 3 people. They’re just doing their job like everyone else and have no control over these layoffs. Why don’t you get mad and JD and the ELT who cause this sh-t in the first place and not the minimum wage employee just trying to get by

I highly doubt anyone from HR or the Layoff team informed the Van not to post anything today because big JD was sending out a company wide email.
Those ETWs are hired to get rid of our sample stuff, they basically aren’t informed of anything beyond their role. They are essentially retail sales but for an internal store.
But go ahead and unleash your hate on someone. Let that spread right now, because that’s what we really need. Worst case scenario, you don’t get laid off and you get an ER email and fired. Best case scenario - you deliver your hate and get laid off with no recourse.
The engine of Nike promotions is months or years ahead so most of these emails have been planned for ages. Just because a layoff happens doesn’t mean they stop a sale. Hard truth to swallow (or sp-t): Turns out your job isn’t that precious to the company and the revenue drivers will still be driven regardless of job security. Doesn’t mean you have to purchase anything.
It’s crazy you think that posting is somehow going to stop them from being laid off, like the other people that will be laid off over the next week have not been working and their fate was already determined . Please full stop . It’s extremely tone deaf but it’s the norm here
