Just got an invite for tomorrow morning from my VP.
I feel sick and my hands are shivering, though I had told myself before that it would be ok, and that this is nothing personal. Well, let’s see.

Glad you got to keep your job and pay. But it is weird to say the least. Why does the title matters to them so much?…
OP update : deband with same responsibilities and pay. not sure what the goal of that is, for sure not cost savings. no limits on when i can look for new jobs internally…. might be that switching teams will be my next full time job

Previous re-orgs I got an invite from VP and assumed the worst. Turned out to be a manager/team change. Hang in there!
Invite for the following day does not sound like an exit based on the past.
If the invite is from a VP that doesn't know you, its an exit.
An invite from your direct line manager will be you are safe.

It could be a deband. Either way, good luck.
Check if your HR business partner also has the same time blocked off on their calendar? If not and it’s with just the VP it might be a conversation about reorg or role change.

I don’t think invites are going out the night before? That’s crazy.. I thought they were supposed to be sent like 15-30 minutes before hand. Why would they torture people through the night?

Oh man… I’m so sorry you and all of us are getting put through this. It could be just a re-org as in another position or you’re safe still? Is there a dead give away in the invite? I’m still sorry for the stress this is causing you :(
