The new Verizon Customer Service is not geared towards a positive customer experience. We have turned into Comcast with the worst customer service in the industry. We used to be a company that cared about customers, it is apparent that has changed to only caring about the customers money. The whole dynamic has changed, and it's sad to say I get to watch us lose customers over this. I hate seeing good people getting messed over by a company that got too big and decided its customers didn't matter any more. Any pathway to a fix or are we just this shell of a company now?

My experience since leaving last year: Applied to numerous Customer Service and Technical Support positions and Verizon being on my resume is NOT helping! Numerous employers are saying YOU ARE NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE or TECHNICAL SUPPORT!
They are pushing ‘we provide exceptional CS and ensure a good customer experience’, but it’s utter garbage. Razing CS centers and jobs is ruining the customer experience. But, as long as HV and cronies are doing well
33 here ... I have over 18 years invested in my career with VZW and I can't believe what HV and his circus of a board has done to the company. I've built my career and reputation on integrity and doing what's right by the customer and now I'm punished for that. My customers reach out to CS or tech support and come back with new FWA lines or second sim numbers that they didn't ask for or need lol. It's a joke and will suffer the same fate as the Titanic if we continue to allow HV to steer us in that direction.
Verizon Wireless tech support has turned to sales. I get it the company is thirsty for money to make investors happy. But now we have to add new lines, upgrade phones, offer Fios, offer 5G Home internet, upsell plans, upsell perks, sell, sell, sell. If we do not, it impacts our performance. When I accepted the position “Tech Support” I did not know I had to become a sleazy sales person. I will continue to make offers, but if customers say “no” and they try to write me up we will have a huge problem.
It would take years to fix what HV has done, to the company as a whole. Ask Ericsson…
Only thing that has surprised me, is he hasn’t started selling off the company, piece by piece, Gordon Gecko style.
But wait, there’s still time.
