The number one priority are our people, and if we take care of our people we will always exceed and meet our financial goals, looks like Enbridges statment is not about people.aslay offs to meet the financial book, is the worst company can ever do, they just broke the trust of every one employee who left and also remained.

“Sadly there is a culture there that treats contractors better than their own employees.”
This entirely depends on which unit you’re working for. Some units treat contractors like 2nd class citizens.

A toxic company with a toxic culture.
Didn’t used to be.
But when ol’ AM was given the reins, bit by bit, it became so.
Now it’s too far gone to turn around,
When management talk manpower is a cost. For some who still thinks they’re special, no you’re not you just got lucky.
While no one guaranteed you a lifetime employment, no reorg, no layoffs, this company churns manpower like you’re really just a number. The ones making decisions at the top are only emotional if it affects their livelihood. But if it doesn’t affect them, it’s nothing personal it’s just business.
This company is not for a faint of heart, with non stop layoffs since 2015 most staff doesn’t trust management anymore. And over the years the stress and anxiety over thinking if you’re gonna be next on the chopping block does affect your mental and physical health.
People work so they can support themselves and their families but if you’re in constant stress, think if this is where you really wanna be. You know there are also lots of other companies that can pay you well and have benefits too. Just give it a try.
Morale.
Figure it out on your own.
What a joke.
