I keep looking at the calendar and I'm getting so depressed knowing its just a matter of time till its over . this is the only thing I have known for over 17 plus years. dont think me a fool , but I loved this place and now its going to be gone. the recognition points are a reminder of the fun of winning prizes and chatting with the respondents. i have cashed them out .how is everyone else doing ? Thinking of all the things to do when severance begins.
1: Sea World
2: Niagara Falls always wanted to go on the Canadian side.
3: Cooperstown
4: would also love a trip to to see the new dome in Las Vegas I hear thats spectacular. there's of bunch of other places on the trip planned I will let the kids and wife decide and make adjustments as necessary , back to dialing . see ya.

Scarborough is shinning star of Nielsen and I’m sorry that it is coming to an end. Greatest decision I ever made was getting away from the Steve/Teresa leadership and moving to Scarborough.

I’m sure leadership reads these boards and is aware of the moral issues at the call centers, they are choosing to ignore it as there is nothing that can be done. Having said that, Nielsen should have treated everyone with more empathy, there are so many long term Scarborough employees that are being treated like disposable assets instead of the backbone that built this business. Choke on the money you are saving.

Happy caturday . The days are counting down to the finish line. I have noticed a lot of gloom in the center, smile more post those pet pictures and get involved like I do. I’m upbeat and glow when posting so you do likewise maybe you to will feel better about your situation. So much depression on this board makes me think we should have a separate out reach chat room to connect. In the standup make the suggestion leadership may respond.

17 plus years here, I to am a long term employee and I feel for this other. We all have been used in this process ,for years they were planning on getting rid of us , but not a word spoke n when asked directly in stand ups their face would looked shocked how did they l know about the Mexico call centers. Place is full of 2 faced leadership find your own joy in life . Its sure not here

I'm sure that long term employee who was slighted is accustomed to it by now. they probably expect nothing more than low level sludge treatment anyhow. come in dial and leave thats all they have left at this point anyhow. a life wasted doing surveys and shown the door.

Person with sick wife, yes your focus should be on her. Person whose daughter is worried about her, you should listen to her as job is not worth your health. Person who stated that Scarborough has moved beyond the call centers is correct, remaining staff is focused on the future and we are the past and holding them back. With a month to go we should be kind to each other.

Caturday is full of him/her self but there are grains of truth in the statements made. No one is losing out on the end of work bonus, not because Nielsen wouldn’t like to save more money but because they have no one in HR that can take on anymore work. As all the experienced senior employees leave and with the nightmare that offshore hiring must be, I’m waiting for all of this to blow up. Prepare yourselves once your last day arrives as it will not be a smooth transition. I expect a mess!

so depressed of all the negative feed back I get from the poc tech and non tech . im not one of the top producers as they call them I struggle with language and computer skills. please be honest are we able to do the early release I have read about my daughter is worried about me and my health.

what do they have to be ashamed of? almost a full year of notice that they are closing a call center ? paying bonus and giving out paychecks while they close. giving weekly incentives . weekly updates to center status. they have nothing to be ashamed of.

Call center is 100% closed as of 8-31-24. All ris, qr, tl, gl, production will be done as of then. As for other departments, no idea.

Back to the original topic of this thread, what will be the Scarborough headcount once the call centers close? How many of the current Scarborough leaders will remain and how many new offshore employees will be added. It is sad that that instead of trying to find jobs within Nielsen the decisions was made to just layoff current staff and offshore the remaining tasks. No hate, but goes around comes around, so please treat the impacted employees with respect as they start their last 30 days of employment.

Are the complaints about being assigned to pending about pay or lack of respect. It sounds like many are “choosing” to not work. My work is coming to end soon and I need to work as many hours as possible, if you don’t want to work for please resign so that maybe I can pick up some of your hours. I’m saving all my PTO so that I can have that added to my last check.

If you are pending and do busy work for half your shift then dial the remaining half...how are you missing pay? I haven't seen anyone pending for a full 5 hour shift yet.
