Happy Caturday. I was talking with another rep she thinks they will open again with a smaller staff In Oldsmar. We are Waiting on our return to work notices.
There is no more call center or policies to be changed. We didn't lose our jobs to other workers, we lost it to technology and respondents doing better filling out the survey on their own online. No need for the middle man anymore if you can get the same data for cheaper. There were plans to shut down the call centers as long as 8 years ago from what I heard and saw on the slides they gave us to look at during pending time.
I miss coming into work and being told "pending" I loved watching all the well made videos.
it's my first week of not calling respondents its sort of sad , but I enjoy the change of pace.
some of the others Reps said you could get updated information on this site about the call center and policy changes , but I do not see that.

6 months ago we were told that after we were separated all access would be removed and given a heads up to change all info away from the nielsen email. HR can do nothing about anything on your computer as the account has been deleted from Nielsen. All of that data is gone 100%
I tried to log into my email and there is no such email or anyway I can access my saved folders on my browser. I had all my contacts stored with number and emails .
does anyone know how I can access this? should I reach out to HR . this is my first severance check and I'm worried about receiving it .

this is so depressing I cant believe they are closing their doors. getting older after 20 plus years of doing the same job and working all the angles to get what I wanted from my co workers and management and now I got to set up shop elsewhere. at least I got a 401k fully loaded and severance coming in.

Rumor on other threads are saying that now that Scarborough has cut all their excess baggage it will sold. While I don’t have a big picture view of the jobs that remain in the U.S. I’m sure that they could all be sent to India, Mexico and Poland. 4 more days of interviews, don’t matter to me.

cashed out all my points got over nine hundred dollars feeling good about it . I wish we could have stayed and made more , but this is our last five days most likely going into retirement after this and take care of the dogs.

Tuesday is the start of my last week as a Scarborough interviewer. I’m still riding the emotional rollercoaster and I’m stuck on an anger dip where I’m not sure if I want to show up for work this week. I can call out sick and still receive my bonus and severance
Final week 18 plus years over with. I was much younger and now time for a new generation change. I don’t use social media and text only if an emergency ,so it’s going to be an adjustment if I will update my tech or I will stick to my old ways and hope for a positive outcome
Couzin getting us jobs feel-in good about getting some cash in pocket again car need work on engines but they turn on hope all good here
Happy Caturday. I’m doing the last of my resumes and sending the pc back this week. My church is giving me a used laptop to keep me online and access to email
I also liked extra hours on Sunday my car wasn't the best , but I worked with people I liked and we had a fun time doing Surveys together. TL's were always smiling and grateful for the extra hours.
truth be told I always took as many extra hours as I could and did Sunday shifts even though it cost me a few bonus checks due to a declining index I was there to make every call count.

I’ve been gone since the end of July and not spending much time on this board. The last few weeks have given me time to reflect on my time with Nielsen. I met some great people at the call center but looking back I do see signs that leadership was lacking skills needed to run this business; we have a ton of work, extra hours, hire more people, send work to Mexico, we don’t have work, move people to audio, layoff off people, send people home, put people in pending, oh now we need more surveys. Interviewers were treated very well but I wonder if the right leaders were in place as there was always so much indecision. We can send hate to the CEO but he had nothing to do with the issues that we ran into as interviewers. Missing everyone and thankful for my time as an interviewer but I’m now able to see where I think we failed much more clearly.
I think most people left this board. I am keeping the pc for a week or so I am using it to send resumes and draft emails.
Did anyone get the stay on bonus? Did anyone send the pc back?

I have been trying to get into a new way of living . I have been calling respondents for more than a decade and I can tell you I have a big hole in my time schedule. what was filled with talking to people across the country for multiple hours in the evening has been reduced to saying hello to the grocery store people, neighbors and my pets. I welcome any interaction on this board if anyone is out there.
how you feeling ? will you health walk or visit family to take your mind off the job loss? any upcoming trips?

I think most people have checked out and are just doing the minimum. For some it’s due to the stress of losing their jobs, for others it just bitterness toward the company. My last day was in July and two weeks later I’m still not ok.
Are you still giving 150 percent or did you leave with the first wave?
After reading this thread my question is this. Is Caturday a real person? or a symbol of what a rogue ,inconsiderate ,selfish racist coworker is?
Good to finally see more helpful information on this board and less of the venomous commentary. Those people are angry at the world and refuse to take accountability for their errors and bad decisions. Scarborough has been incredibly helpful and their kindness is not lost.
I would not call you lazy, there seems to be a perception that everyone is tech savvy and online. This is of course an incorrect assumption but thankfully you have friends that are helping you. Do yourself a favor and update all your info now so that you have no lapse in severance pay and when tax season arrives no issues filing your taxes.
