Do not assume that 9% of the company was laid off entirely in January. Get ready and Buckle up!

If the ones claiming that there will be more layoffs by summer. Where are you basing this on? Especially if you’re not employed anymore? Thin air? I’d say if it were to happen it would probably be next year. We saw this happen to GE as well. Where first 50% and then the next year all.
Unless you can actually post a source, shut your cake hole. For those saying they are ex PayPal and know, I am sure they gave you the future plans on the way out the door. Ffs.🤦🏼♂️
Ex PayPal now. More in Ireland by August. News will come late June
Manager at 27 and can confirm to have been asked to identify performance lackers and/or business impact.
Yes, I've also confirmed with people who were laid off that we're not finished for this year yet.
Sales org was hit with cuts again last week, have heard additional layoffs are coming over the next few weeks
There are ppl posting on LinkedIn their positions were eliminated 4 days ago, which aligns with previous comments on this thread.
Layoffs aren't scheduled for this month, but they're already in the pipeline for next year, set for the end of January, as has been the tradition in previous years.
Someone said the same last year and nothing happened. I highly doubt it will happen again this year. They met their numbers.
Nope, very unlikely. Stop spreading false rumors.
yep, I can confirm from high levels meetings reports that more layoffs are coming by the end of the month; not too late of the second week of April. Time to buckle-up again unfortunately.... Start updating your resume and refresh your interview skills.
Layoffs will continue until morale improves.
But really, they likely will happen again at some point and I agree with others that you're better off focusing on giving yourself a good financial buffer and upskilling super hard
Please don't start rumors. Rumors are good for nothing. They stir up anxiety for some, numbness for others and uncertainty for all. That being said, be proactive. The work place/economy is ever changing. Layoffs can always be a possibility. Think about your future. Is your resume updated? Are you networking and developing new career goals? Are you adding to your skill sets by continuing your education or working toward a professional certificate? Make a financial plan. Have a cushion to tide you and your family over if necessary. Our annual raise in April may be a good time to start. You have budgeted without that money previously. Pay yourself first. With all of that, take a deep breath, be present in the moment and take good care of yourself and your family. Thinking good thoughts for us all.
Really unlikely at this point given 3 years of layoffs and one only a few weeks ago.
