How does RTO align with the “Distributed Work Offensive”. If we were better when we are together, why have an office in Atlanta? There is an SD (LP) there whose whole entire team is at WHQ!

33% more commuting when we are told the world will end due to existential threat. People still do zoom calls from building to building and even floor to floor. I get it with certain things….touching, seeing, drawing, team building….in person. Much of the other work I just see people with their head phones on stuck to their desks….which makes zero sense to have to come in for that. I just think too many people abused it…..basically took day to do what they wanted and responded promptly to any Slack or email. That is why we are back
Maybe The State of Oregon should stop su-king so much D and people might want to work there.
I suspect the state of OR is not happy with people moving to WA and not paying income tax, so the state is putting pressure on OR businesses to force workers back to the office. If you can WFH and choose between 0% income tax in WA or 10% in OR, it's a no brainer for many.
RTO was to help stop the commercial real estate meltdown. Would have made the subprime lending fiasco look like a quinceañera. Not in the clear yet, but once old money has reallocated their holdings we can expect a return to WFH.
I can’t wait for the next all-hands. I wonder if the chat will be disabled.
Everyone knows we’re not actually better together. It just fit their disingenuous narrative. If the company cared about sustainability, supporting caregivers, women, working parents, and marginalized groups they wouldn’t be forcing RTO. But you know already knew this. We all did.
Because everything's made up and the points don't matter.
You're using logic now.
