And completely demoralized. Everyone around me feels the same. With that state of mind among employees, this company is going nowhere. I don’t believe in its growth, and I don’t see my future here anymore. I will just do what I’m supposed to with minimal effort, like I would with any other uninspiring and unsatisfying work at uninspiring workplace, until I find another job.

Found a new job in one month.
If you are extremely specialized then it may be much more difficult.
@3kth Are you seriously on this site commenting to employees of a company you haven’t worked in for 20+ years? Troll elsewhere ahole
reading this makes me sad...Why are you people panicking? Its not the end of the world if you get laid off its life...It always amazes me how low people will go for a pay check.Nuts. Left Nike in late 90's never looked back plenty great companies to work for
There are other jobs out there! As someone who was laid off in February, it's really not so bad. I'm lining up interviews and being picky about where I apply. More money and more flexibility is out there.
Me too
Did I write this? You captured how I am feeling exactly!
YES. Add to it: The org I belong to is a smaller group embedded in a ~200 person org. Most of the 200 person org has been shifted and knows they are safe. About 20 of us are some kind of weird misfit group and are in Phase 2. It i psychological torture to try to focus when every day I don't know if I am safe but I am surrounded by people who are safe and who want stuff from me ... and perhaps they don't even know that a group of us helping them are still at risk.
It's sick.
We are headed towards being the Internet Explorer of athletic shoes.
