Studio is not closing
The SF tech office after pour millions into it will close, they are just trying to figure out when. Love how the ELT can approve doing this like this without a plan, guess its like laying people off without a real plan just DEI boxes checked and not actual production.
"as long as we continue hiring SoCal startup dreamers that have never worked for a profitable company in their life."
That is some serious localism right there. I agree that CA CoL is higher, so salaries will be higher as a result. But you seem bitter? What data makes you believe that techies in LA that have worked for a non-profitable startup are working at Nike?
Thank god.
We’re a hype & distribution company. We’re never going to be the next Facebook.
If we lose those roots we’re going to end up as out of touch with our customer base as Bud Lite.
Tech’s budget will never get under control as long as we continue hiring SoCal startup dreamers that have never worked for a profitable company in their life.
studio closure by end of 2024 is the rumor
And Serena wasn’t wasteful?
Can you imagine living in NY or LA and being forced to commute to the office? Sounds bloody awful. I’d love to peek at what the company spends to keep these buildings open. It seems so wasteful.
What do you think this means for NYC office too?
What about the San Francisco tech office? Is that closing?
It’s not.
The word is, we’re just better together. 💝
Is it really closing? Not my home office, but I liked the vibe there when I visited last year.
