Thread regarding CVS layoffs

My total payout is short by one week!

Has anyone had this issue?
I was laid off in October and am still trying to get my last week of pay. I was told I would get 13 weeks of pay, but have only received 12 weeks. I started this conversation with CVS starting in Mid January when I noticed that I had only received 12 weeks of pay. CVS is telling that their payout calculation is correct, even after I have shown them that the total payout has only covered 12 weeks.

What should be my next step?

People, don't let it go. They owe you and you deserve it. Make a complaint to the DOL or talk to an attorney to request a demand letter. This is BS.

I originally thought I was paid a week short as well but if you get paid for 13 weeks, that should equal 6 paychecks for the same amount. 6 paychecks is 1/4, or 13 weeks, of a full year of paychecks

You could make a wage claim with your state to see if they can help. I am going to keep an eye on my final pay to make sure they don’t short me a week. Also wonder about bonus payments (should be on 3/15.

I encountered the same. But chose not to do anything. I felt it was not worth the grief or the cost of hiring an attorney. With a corporation that size they can afford to squash the claim. This is also creating my concerns over getting our bonus. Now if they mess with that, I may just hire one then.

You could maybe contact the unemployment office and report it to your state.
