Starting next week the outsourced workers will be taking over all of the electronic feed work. Paper "queues" are going to be consolidated so we will have to filter our work to find it. This is going to cause havoc. But they will be laying off some of the business/admin people who usually sort the faxes as well - so they need to do this so they don't need as many of them to work the fax queues. Good luck everyone and be prepared because we probably just have a few weeks left. And those last few weeks are going to be a doozy - in a bad way. For those who stay on - this is going to be a glimpse of what you're going to have to deal with during your last months at Omnicare.

Totally agree with the poster below. I've been seeing all the mistakes the outsource people have been making. Horrible! Stuff we would have been reprimanded or written up for back in the day. If there are some people kept around to do the dirty work and fix mistakes I feel totally sorry for them. It's almost like you're better off to get laid off and get your severance pay now. If you stay on you may not be able to take it and end up quitting - and you won't get severance pay for that. This is just terrible for employees & the customers whose claims are getting all messed up.
The outsource team will not be ready to do all the work by the mid-April timeframe. Management has two options: keep the current staffers for longer or just take their chances, cut the U.S. staff and bury themselves and anyone left. Too close a call, IMO. I'd guess they will stick to the original plan, although that is clearly the wrong decision.
To the person - probably a troll -who left the nasty post stating we were all warned layoffs were coming & we were givien plenty of notice: Yes, we were given a heads up on February 1st that layoffs were coming. At the time I thought it was nice that at least our mgmt team (the ones that are left) let us know. But it's been crickets for 45 days now. And NO- nobody said the whole RQ team was being laid off. There may be a handful of people kept to do the work that the outsource people aren't doing - like phone calls and paper-faxed stuff, at least for a while. They are only handling the electronic feed work. It would just be nice to hear something. I understand they want to make sure we keep working and doing our jobs but I'm sure they've known the date that they'll be giving the notices since it's coming very soon. Tomorrow is Friday - maybe that's when the ball drops. Good luck everybody.
Yes we were told. But now, silence! 30 day notice is what we were told. It’s mid March!
Everyone complaining on here acting like victims must fail to remember that we were notified in JANUARY that we would be outsourced… and then again in FEBRUARY. Februarys meeting stated that by April 1st, the entire RQ DEPARTMENT would be outsourced. Everyone has known that Omnicare was going down hill. Everyone has had plenty of time to job hunt.
Poor su-kers. I got laid off during the pandemic. Got 8 weeks severance pay, a bonus payout, then big unemployment checks, then found a great new job.
Thank you for posting this. What I don't like is how through all the layoffs we were told we need to work harder and work together and things will get better. Now it's at a point where we're all pitted against each other to get our productivity to keep our jobs. Now the overseas workers will be totally doing all of the electronic work it's going to be even worse. I wonder if they will still give people the full 30-day notice that they promised because there's not enough work for us to do. If they do that's great but on the flip side it's still su-ks because there's nothing for us to do. I wonder if they're hoping people will quit -or- productivity will be so low that they will have cause to fire them - both scenarios meaning they won't have to pay out severance. And this is how you get rewarded for sticking with the company. It is horrible.
It's horrible how they've kept us on pins and needles the last month without a word. But this poster is correct, we were told in Thursday that some of our work is going to be all thrown together and we will have to sort it out ourselves. But make sure you keep your productivity up!!! It's just horrendous how they are treating the people who hung in there these last few years. This blows
