JD saved Nike during the Pandemic, The pivot to digital was awesome. ESP and his good old boy clique would have been clueless. JD pivots from his mistakes aka getting rid of Rat Boy and his gang after mistakenly hiring him. That guy did help out initially but is a total di-k, Give JD some credit. The business is changing Nike is no longer it. That being said his usefulness is ending.

Contrast this video to the message PK has on the 6453 website for the alumni community.

We have a strong spirit and hopefully enough of us will be still be left to rebuild after JD is gone.

Glad this mo-fo is saving his emotional energy

This was horrible. His kicked back cavalier attitude towards ruining peoples lives and all the predictive behaviors he can’t bother himself with being emotionally burdened by. Which it’s kinda funny he believes he has empathy after watching this. Then, pawning the hard part off to the HR partner (who will likely get let go after the core layoffs happen!) “The decision has been made”…. He has to go.

Time to fire the Coach. He sat ( fired, I mean we don't see your potential any more, your past means nothing, I don't want you to talk, the emotional stress it puts on me, I'm sitting in a pit of despair, I mean money) all the best players and put his friends on the court. To the demise of the rest of the team. The GM needs to fire the Coach. Time for a rebuild.

“For a Mo--n with a hammer, everything looks like a Nail” - JD is that Mo--n. If Nike throws him out in to the world he wont be able to build a single damn thing, nor will be able to rally people behind him for a goal. He is consumed with pettiness and hate that he is consumed with.

Watched the full view. This charlatan passes himself as a big time CEO, in truth, he has no transferable skills to lead a big firm. Bain, EBay, ServiceNow are not in the same league as a Dow 30 stock. He will make sure Nike comes off Dow, if he is not replaced with a qualified CEO.

That guy is not a leader.
He is an administrator.
The board needs to get rid of him NOW!

I want to start by saying he is a complete mo--n. Any crude di*k can do layoffs, that is not a talent. True growth has to come from a visionary. This guy has been riding the backs of what others have built in midsized firms and never worked for a big brand. He is clueless on branding. No wonder stock price has been flat for 4 years.

How did this douchebag pile of shi* fail up so many times? Thought he was a tool the first time I heard him speak but thought whatever. The way he has personally ruined Nike with his incompetence is sad. To watch him spew the same load of nonsense over and over
makes me question a lot of things I used to take seriously. This clown has lost the locker room I seriously hope the board fires him ASAP!!!!

I watched his video. Clueless and arrogant tool. He says a guy that ran a small company can’t run a big company. How do you explain Elon, Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Steve Jobs, Phil, Howard Schultz? He is nothing more than a Steve ballmer type. Dump him and get back to growth like Microsoft did. That’s the answer. We need a person with vision. Just another money grubbing consultant.

Soulless and transactional leader.

Phil f’d up on this one.

Bye JD you’ve got 100 days left. You’ve ruined Nike’s culture in the short term and it’s so clear to us all.

What an a$$h0le. A self-professed 'Servant Leader'. As a 30+ year Nike employee, that video reinforces to me how scr3w3d we are with a d!ck like that in charge. I see parallels between Nike and Boeing. Boeing lost its way when engineers no longer ran the company. Now they are paying the price. Nike has lost its way now that 'Shoe Dogs' who are truly passionate about the product and athletic performance (and no, we are not all athletes- get rid of that stupid asterisk) no longer run the company.

Such a petty guy leading behemoth of a brand like “Nike”?. He has no understanding of what a brand stands for, and values that build a brand. He is destroying what Nike stands for.

Pretty telling how he talks about himself. When someone talks about themselves like they're the key that unlocked every other id--t's mind, it says alot about that person.

What does this guy actually DO again? He'd probably be the first person let go from my team. 95% fluff, 5% action.

Like really, what's even in his portfolio outside of a resume with a list of companies he's worked for previously?
