Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Walmart to Acquire Humana!!!

Imagine this happens at some point (this is my text):

Walmart, a global retail giant, is reportedly showing significant interest in acquiring Humana, a leading health insurance provider, in a move reminiscent of the UnitedHealth-CVS partnership. This potential acquisition would represent a major shift in the healthcare and retail industries, combining Walmart's extensive retail and customer service capabilities with Humana's healthcare and insurance expertise. The strategic merger aims to create a synergistic partnership that enhances customer access to health services, lowers healthcare costs, and improves overall health outcomes. This partnership could transform how consumers engage with healthcare providers, leveraging Walmart's vast network to expand healthcare access and integrate seamless health solutions into the consumer shopping experience.

So, is there a scenario where WalMart buys CenterWell and Cigna buys Humana Insurance?

If I had a choice, I would prefer Cigna to buy us, rather than Walmart.

Hey, I’m not saying Walmart won’t buy Humana. They’ve been meeting with Humana since 2018 and talking about it but, OP, United doesn’t have a CVS partnership. They are competing with CVS/Aetna. Can you explain why you keep using United-CVS as a model?

No, Walmart won't buy an insurance company which can't provide medical insurance for its 2.1m employees. Cigna is still the only suitable buyer.

There were rumors the Walmart talks were being revived last December.
