Is it normal behavior for a tech company to blindly remove access to hundreds of employees without a clear recovery path except for a running chat that impossible to follow?

Everything at Fiserv is a knee-jerk reaction.
No thought about the consequence of the action.

Yes, Fiserv removed Windows calculator for an obscure vulnerability in Win 7. Fiserv runs Win 10. A Google search will provide information.

You can really worry if your corrupted computer asks for permission to run, oh, Word, Excel and (GASP) a game. Sapience is always running of course. I am out of Fiserv long gone but a systems professional and NEVER saw in any firm I worked with any basic Windows app ask for server permission - calculator? Knee jerk security move.

NO, only at Fiserv. To the other post. Fiserv removed the Windows calculator in a knee jerk security move.

Is it normal for your PC to ask a central server if you have permission to start the calculator application?

But don’t forget we have a shiny new building in Milwaukee. That’s all we really care about.

Did I mention our new HQ building?
