Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Beyond repair

The results are bad, the outlook is not better, he lost the trust and the respect of the workforce, … I don’t see how JD can possibly recover from this.
The way he’s been treated in the chat and even on wikipedia shows that he’s lost all control and credibility amongst the employees. It’s embarrassing!

He laid off more than 1600, rememver CDA. He is a downsizing "expert" look at his resume. He is about himself and his $38m plus salary, bonus, etc. Important to know the ELT and VP will get their bonuses no matter what. They don't care!

Accountability? If Sr Leadership dropped bonuses for 1 year, $2.5M+ could be raised; how many jobs could that save? How much innovation could that fund? JD being "uncomfortable" while ending people's careers is insulting. They were hollow words, not respected by employees, as evidenced in the all-teams chat yesterday.

“In October 2019, he was announced as the next CEO of Nike, and succeeded Mark Parker on January 13, 2020. After just four years as CEO, Donahoe laid off over 1600 Nike employees, claiming to hold himself accountable while not resigning from the role.”

I salute the person who submitted this to JD’s wiki page
