Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

We deserve better than this

Frankly, before today’s meeting I thought we just hit a bump on the road. Now I am worried about the future. This was the worst Global Employee Meeting I have seen in 20 years!
All this leadership team could come up with in the last year was to force people to go 4 days to the office.
Talk about shortsightedness and uninspiring leadership!

Someone said it earlier, it is not just JD, it his the new three headed monster. The other two are putting their own people in places, I know of one VP who was in the lower teir that since HO took over she was promoted and now has VPs reporting to her. She complains about things that VPs shouldn't and has produced results, but personally hands out with HO. It is not just the old boys network anymore, it is the now the old girls network too. Friendly reminder make sure when you fill out your forms you make sure you check off as many boxes as you can. This cut wasn't about excess, it was abou right sizing men, women, ethnic groups, etc. Best of luck to everyone!

As a multiple decade employee myself, I feel like I will see the rise and decline of Nike.

It’s the whole team. Everyone wants to put everything on JD. It’s not just him… if it wasn’t enough before, this meeting should be enough for everyone to understand he’s just a talking head reading from a script.

The entire board and all senior leadership are the problem.

If JD goes it’ll change nothing, the rot is deep.

Possibly returning to 5 days a week in office. I too was extremely disappointed in today’s meeting; all the buzzwords but no concrete actions on how leadership is going to be held accountable. The meeting just added to the suffering and showed the disconnect between senior leadership and employees.would have been nice if any one of the leaders just went off script and spoke from the heart.
