Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

THERE IS HOPE

Hi All,

Everyone impacted by the Layoffs should consider working for a mid tier corporate company. 500-5000 people. They don't rule with an iron fist, everyone has a name, and you get to see a larger picture of what is going on. Retail is a tough business, and Nike is not making it any easier. Rolling back flexibility, and making you sit there 8-5pm 4 days a week. This makes sense if you are on the assembly line but not in corporates world where project have ebs and flows. There are companies out there that will respect your time, your intelligence, and reward you monetary and with more vacation time. You don't have to go down with the ship that is currently named nike.

To add to this…many of these mid sized companies will greatly benefit from your experience at Nike. Some of the most mundane ideas, plans, or processes at Nike can seem revolutionary at a smaller company. Lean into that experience and keep adding value.
