Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

So Jen Laclair had me fooled the first 20 minutes of that town hall. Relatable, approachable, rooted in kindness and warmth. That quickly went out the window when we were told not to ask for headcount and that we should host parties outside of work (aka our own time) where we drink and get things done. But don’t forget not everyone has to drink!

The company continues to manipulate the stock at the expense of clients with not rehiring on par with the mass departures.

She then proceeded to talk about “secret sauce” for 15 minutes asking for things that help morale… how about some help??? teams are drowning!

Frank built a shrine to Frank in Berkeley heights with a helipad but we can’t get headcount and the clients suffer. He’ll be taking that golden parachute soon and we’re going to be left picking up the pieces of Frank padding his own wallet.

To be told to get scrappy from people who make millions a year is insulting and negligent to the employees.

Remember to train your replacement well.

The one place we can really use AI would be the C suite. At least something intelligent would be there.

She's just another talking head. No, I'm not taking my after hours free time to devote more energy to this place. No, I could care less that she did that at past companies.

We cannot do more with less. We are collectively drowning. It's hurting us and our clients.

She had the nerve to not comphehend client attrition. They are bailing because of poor service, poor systems, high fees, garbage equipment and constantly badgering merchants for financial reviews.

I hear it everyday with merchants threatening to leave due to constant reviews.

Believe they watch and count badge swipes on a weekly basis..so those that just come into the bldg and lounge in the hallways/play ping pong..will hurt the metrics for those actually working…I’ve even heard there are associates with nothing to do…new employees/inadequate training .. but wait we’ve all heard that AI will fix all this..victory coming!

I’m at the end of the rope with the “do more with less” mentality. It took a few years but I cannot take this sh*t anymore. Please let the job market rebound ASAP so I can get tf out of this circus. My previous years measly stock grants just vested. Give me a signing bonus for the remainder and let’s f go!!!

Talk is cheap. It doesn't matter what these execs say during their townhalls, they will say whatever they think will make people happy.

The only real way to judge them is based on their actions and whether they care for their team in ways that count, and actually cost something. Things like providing real cost of living increases and raises, and staffing teams properly to avoid overworking.

Jen showed that she's just a typical fiserv exec, who says she loves to "lead with kindness", but then just parrots that we have to "do more with less". I'm personally very tired of doing more with less, as is everyone around me.
