What's everyone going to spend their $5 outage credit on?

🤣

What a stupid decision. Stink and all C suite creatures must be getting paid by competition.

I’m gonna buy some of the close to expired food the company has in the vending machines in our cafeteria

Gas for my commute to the hub.

I'm going to buy some trail mix. The employee appreciation gift of a handful of peanuts made the $5 seem like a giant windfall in comparison.

Verizon won’t offer a credit for any of their outages maybe AT&T should follow their example. It only backfires for customers.

Where do you think the funds for this widespread credit will be coming from?

Everyone who is laughing should be embarrassed. The fact that you work for this company and don’t know that a $5 credit per day is what T offers it’s customers if they had an outage. It’s literally the standard credit.

I'm not sure if you are trolling or if you are company sycophant. Really I don't know.
If I had to guess it would be the second option. Doesn't matter. AT&T is finally trimming in the right places after many years of ignoring what was oblivious.

I think the $5 credit was to placate the Feds that they are owning up to the mistake, being transparent and trying to make amends. All in hopes of better treatment after the investigation. Most of the general public is going to whine about any small grievance so, that’s a no win situation, everyone wants to get compensated above and beyond their supposed damages, these days. The everyone gets a trophy and we are all winners mentality, over dramatic entitlement syndrome.

The previous post if correct. I know $5 is laughable, but they didn't have to give anything at all, and IMO, shouldn't have. Only made things worse by trying to buy good will with $5. I haven't seen a single person saying anything positive about it.

Whether people like it or not, it is a full day’s reimbursement, there are no guarantees in any industry, life or communications on the speed of service or if an outage will occur. The FAA can’t even guarantee your plane will stay in the air when you travel so, why should communications be any different? Read your contract, folks have unreasonable expectations, the phone company has a pretty good record on reliability, for the things under their control. Obviously, acts of God, damages by others, etc.. are beyond their control. There are two exceptions to the earthly, no guarantees clause, death and taxes happens to everyone in the US.

This occurrence happened to be a mistake, stuff happens, get over it and move on. It will be investigated, dealt with and things put in place so it doesn’t reoccur. Nothing else is perfect in your life so why should communications be any different. There was only one perfect person that walked the earth before ascending into Heaven, that I’ve read about.

Don’t worry. He publicly said it would happen again, so pretty soon our bill will be free! 😊
