Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

There's definitely a people leader browsing here...

Come on, spill it. I'm not gonna do it. I wanna hear it from a PL. Means more if you say it. and provide details. you know what I'm talking about, and if I hear BS I'm gonna call it out.

I'm a PL and know absolutely nothing apart from my own intel from friends who are in the know. 2 people in my department, including one of my direct reports were let go in the last week and my manager knew nothing about it until after the fact. It stops at the Director level, anyone below that doesn't know jack sh-t or very little.

Supervisor here. They've told us absolutely nothing.

You can feel confident about tomorrow, even if you hadn't heard anything. At worst you've got about a 40% chance of being right. I don't know why you would think you would be downvoted if it ends up being Wednesday.

I can only speak for my experience. No information so far. Whatever you heard in "good confidence" is outside of the formal communication channels. I have "heard" things too. In the absence of information, information will be created - often based on nothing more than innuendo and speculation.

Just look at the threads in this forum, and the dubious information contained within them. Everybody gets to be wrong until, finally, some are right. But almost all are still guessing. They just ran the clock out.

OP here again. in relation to @koo+1rgF19cQ,

i agree with you that you are in an information desert, but I am surprised that you don't know which day it is,because I heard in good confidence that it is tomorrow. an email from HR or your org chart should be going out today. if I'm wrong feel free to come back here and down vote the sh-t out of this comment, but I'm very, very confident tomorrow is the day. supervisors will not hear who's going until a couple minutes beforehand.

Directors already have the list for their people. Managers and below do not. They'll find out later today or tomorrow definitely.

Nobody below manager knows which day it is, and not all managers know. Most do not. Having said that, there are only two reasonable candidates. Tomorrow and Wednesday.

I am a people leader in "manager or below". And it's an information desert for me.

I don't know anything at all. No one has said a thing

I wouldn’t assume every people leader knows.

alrighty, I'll start. tomorrow's the day. I know more, but I want an actual PL to say what they heard in detail to see if it jives with what I heard.

not trying to be a pr--k, but I'm doing this solely to make sure what I'm hearing is right. I've already spoken to one people leader who confirmed some of my details so I'd assume every PL knows at this point.

Okay fine. We secretly installed scales in the elevators and are firing the fatties. We've been watching for months and those pandemic pounds haven't been dropping. /s

If you know something fu--ing share it. These vague posts with eerie subtext mean nothing if you're too much of a bi--h to actually say anything.
