Reason Phase 2 is so long/far away: They don't know who yet

New lists will now get assembled of the lower levels in the new formation. Once finalized, then HR, legal, benefits, etc... begin their 1 to 2 month slog through clearing everything and preparing packages ... all over again. THAT is why those who remain will wait.

Because this is a MESS.

Layoff in batches is so old school keeping everyone in panic. Look at other companies doing 10k+ layoffs in a min. Time for a new management at the leadership. This team doesn’t know what they are getting in to and what they are trying to save. ON and Brookes are eating your pie and layoff is not gonna help with the phase they are entering your shoes. The boat is already sinking and I’m pretty sure quality folks are already looking out for opportunities and more deadwood’s will remain after this hi gets completed.

The collapsing of orgs, such as we’re seeing, always has shockwaves which are by nature unpredictable. It will be some time, if ever for some, before the path forward becomes clear. Love to all who are having to process this.
