I currently have a bachelors degree and will be pursuing my masters. If I complete my program this year will they increase my pay? Or would I have to switch roles in another department to see a pay increase.

Agree a masters degree will not get your pay increased. The only way is to level up your role
No. If the role doesn’t require a Masters, then it won’t be compensated for it.
In my experience, there was not an increase tied to completing my masters. I would anticipate either needing to expand the scope within your current role or making a move to obtain higher compensation outside the annual review process. Best wishes to you as you advance your education.
I’ve been in my role for 5 years and I like the department I’m in but I need more pay. Wonder if I could get it with getting a masters.
It also depends if it is directly related to your role and it’s needed, for example, a social worker getting their masters, in order to get licensed
You would need to switch roles. An off cycle pay increase in your current role is possible but will require many leader approvals and strong justification.
A Masters alone won’t increase your pay.
