If we strike, I’m good for about 6 months, been saving for a while. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings to have some down-time. Of course it would be better for all, if they can come to a mutual agreement. There are definitely some issues that need addressed.

We’ve taken it in the shorts these last few years, with nearly unprecedented inflation so, getting COLA back into the contract would be a positive. Keeping division of labor and increasing the retirement cash balance match, what we have now is minuscule compared to other large companies. Keeping premiums, oop, deductibles in check, getting a better raise than normal and a longer term contract. 5 years is optimal, no work stoppages or spending money for strike contingencies. Should be a win-win for both sides.
