Heard that they will announce end of new video installs end of dsl and end of any new copper pots also talk of the expanded fios builds and the need to move people around to handle the new areas along with the new hiring planned .In the end they really wanna clean place up and make it marketable for any future decisions

The latency and network bottleneck of the network to handle Video over IP is a knee-sla--er. Many customers are returning the VIP product shortly after receiving it. As a poster stated, legacy QAM and VIP will run parallel for a long time.

The move from QAM to QAMless isn't all that big of news. It's been the plan to do it since like 2020.

If Hans is still running the show, they will still manage to sc--w up whatever they plan. Even if the base plan is in the right direction, he will interject some form of green/DEI or European style stupidity into the mix, and f it up. Don't underestimate his innate ability to ki-l the unkillable...
If the announcement on 04/30 is related to video, they won't announce the end of new video installs. Just the delivery of how customer's get video. QAMLESS Video is where VZ is headed, but you still have to maintain the legacy network that support over 2 million existing customer's.
Finally! If it happens, it's going to displace some employees and upset a few customers, but it should have been done years ago.
