I speak for most Millennials and Gen Z…the traditional 8 hour working day of the ghost of career past is gone. would you please take some managerial training classes on managing a different generation in DU. This forced conformity will not work in the long run, bc we do not care in socializing with coworkers in office, when they sit in another state. we are just buying our time until the next job posts. We are simply giving the bare minimum until you all blow out the candles on your retirement sheet cake. The minute we take over these roles we will not enforce these stupid endocrines into practice because we all know they simply do not improve anything. why is the smallest generation controlling the largest based off the teachings of the generation who refuses to retire. I’m not sure why we need to conform instead of them adapting. these leaders speak of change, but yet are trying take us back with so many restrictions. one leader flat out said a full day is 8hrs in office, but cannot provide a single line of this written in any HR handbook. They are flying in and out to check hours in which 6-fig salaried, highly-skilled analyst are coming in. What is the purpose of BYOD if technology is being used but these leaders are still patrolling 30 plus year olds to the same 8-5 in office standard of the years of yesterdays.
