Quit Stressing

Quit stressing. Just show up and collect a paycheck. I don't sell any displays. I don't look at my sale numbers bc I could care less. Just show up and take care of the stores you go to each day and that's it.

I’m a sales rep in the northeast and I’m pretty much just a merchandiser with a company car. In my MOD I’m scheduled to pack out as much as my full timers, and I’m expected to go “sell” after I’m done. I just do my deliveries and take my pictures and go home. It’s not worth the stress trying to get to 25-30 stores a week, while packing out multiple deliveries every day. And the stores I don’t pack out think I just walk around with an iPad all day since I didn’t pack out their store. You can tell these id--ts over and over that the company has changed and service has changed and they don’t get it. Or you can tell Walmart their orders can’t be reduced anymore and you’ll still get bitched at for too much back stock every week.

The company has made us all look like mo--ns that can’t do our jobs with the unrealistic expectations they put on everybody. There’s merchandisers out there that can’t even put a package on the shelf properly or be bothered to look at an expiration date and are tasked with order writing and maintaining a store. I can’t imagine all the money lost throughout the country with all these people writing orders that have no clue. It’s too late now, they’ll never admit they made a mistake. We’ll all be gone by then. Just hurry up and give me my severance.

I used to care/try but quickly realized in mission 1 that when I had twice as many displays as I ever had and couldn't come close to hitting a number anymore that it was time to quit trying so now I just drive around all day.

I like when i have a store in a good strip mall. Can just leave the phone in the car and just walk down and browse all the stores.

Anyone else just drive around all day in the Malibu and stop in some stores for a quick second before moving to the next 😄

Love it!!! The key is to stop caring! I loved finding a good movie to watch close to a store, and leaving my phone in the backroom of the store while I was at the theatre. Since my DM never left his house expect for happy hour, it was never an issue! Left was great once I quit caring! I eventually got bored so I found a new job, on my time frame! More money and no toxic environment.

Make sure to sit and watch some Youtube videos to pass the time as well! We have not hit a number since December, so I average 3 hours of OT a week as my bonus. Life is so much easier now that I quit caring and do as little as possible!

Now everything is based on those computer statistics on how good you are, F&D , CPH, , OSA…. Percentages, not how good you are at your actual job. You can be the laziest sales rep ever and have high statistics and you’re the best.

Funny thing is some people are still trying so hard, still posting all their displays on engage… Like just stop, the job will be over next year. Who are you trying to impress? Lol

It seems to be the case with my team that the majority of those who have earned the reputation of being “all star employees” are those who were hired as part of mission one or hired when mission one was already in full effect. The ones who have been with us long beforehand except for very few have all had enough. I once had the reputation of being an all star but not anymore but I don’t give a rats a-s. For one thing I’m not being paid enough to work as hard as they are trying to work me and secondly they just slam us with so much work because we can never find help and anytime it’s slow or nobody’s on PTO they operate a skeleton crew and dont use the part-timers as much. Plus they started breaking my ba--s the minute I didn’t work as hard as I used to and it’s been recurring so at this point it’s just a matter of how much longer I’m still around which won’t be much longer. I’m starting to save my money so that worst case scenario I don’t find something soon I can at least have enough saved up so I can quit and start looking. I just know they day I leave this company will be the day I am happier and this comes from someone who was once loyal to this company. When it was just packing out I didn’t mind being paid what I was but out workload quadrupled and we are being paid so low to do so much work. You can go someplace else and make more and be less stressed out.

If they don’t like it tell them to go find someone else, oh wait, there is the one, so what are they gonna do, and if they do hire someone else once they see this sh-t show, they will quit within a week or two

So smart, it’s the only way to survive at Mondelez. Just make sure if they harass you about sales etc, you remind them nobody else is hitting objectives either.

Pretty much how I managed ~23yrs in Sales. Did just enough to keep my job (which I hated anyway) BUT it afforded my lifestyle, which is all anyone should care about.

Every day in a cubicle was like dying. No more "rah rah let's go team" bullshiz, sales meeting circlej--ks, and 'management by metrics'.

Made good choices and now I'm free from all that stress & nonsense.

Good luck in your journey & hope it works out for you in the long run.
