Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

If anyone thinks their efforts are genuinely appreciated at Nike, they're fooling themselves

At Nike, employees are treated more like mere numbers than valued team members. The company has proven again and again that it views us as a significant expense and potential liability. They see us almost as if we're somehow their adversaries rather than teammates.

It's clear that the executives and board would love to operate with zero employees if only they could get away with it. Luckily for us, that's still not possible. The key word is "still."

OP, I hate to break it to but this is at EVERY company. I get the sentiment, I really do but there isn’t a company with more than 100 employees in existence that does see most of their staff as a “significant expense” and treats them as such. Too many of y’all have been chugging down the kook aid for too long .
