Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT Air so like ATT go to market

ATT launched its fixed wireless this month and as par, the majority of it is LTE even in major markets but meant for customers using copper. Their are 2 plans and only 1 active device gets discount on an account and must have an active voice line on the account.

Here is the funny part, ATT is 2 years behind TMO and Verizon on this and there’s is 5G mid and low band. Notification was sent out this morning, do NOT use premium plan at this time and go and change customers to the least plan lower.

I might be a little dense some times but Come on, the execs are complete mo--ns at this company!!

Your information is mostly incorrect. AIA has been out for almost a year for consumers. The primary focus is on copper migrations, but we have also been rapidly expanding it as an option for new broadband customers.

AT&T wants to dump pots lines. AIA is just a big fake out to fool the government regulators into allowing AT&T to pivot away from providing services to communities still connected by pots. AT&T has been using the RCRF ($1.75) fees collected from millions of customers each month for the last two decades to pay bonuses to executives. That money was meant to sustain pots. AIA is not a real solution. It won’t support a third of a neighborhood. But watch AT&T marketing pull the hustle by cherry picking a few examples of people with improved service.

This product is a joke. They were trying to make up the low numbers in the 1st quarter. Knowing there infrastructure wasn’t ready. It truly only meant for a backup internet solution not primary internet solution. They need to figure out a guarantee phone solution and make sure this will work on cameras and security systems.

The service isn’t new, just a new name/rebranded.

I interviewed for a marketing manager job with this team and the hiring director admitted that this product is extremely limited. That was 2 years ago. Only AT&T would back a loser.
