What to do DMs and Directors do?

What is the point of these positions? Come in and speak to the reps... Have nice convo with them and then talk sh-t about them to managers. You sit behind a computer at home and how we need all these sales... But aren't willing to show your face when head count is down. You hide behind numbers and conference calls and don't let the management team actually do their jobs(at least in my store). What is the purpose of you?

Newsflash. The person that is replaceable by AI is the in store reps. Not the District Managers. Most reps that are still in store in wireless couldn’t get another job if they tried. The max salary you’re getting is $75k if you’re lucky. Enjoy playing on your phone all day.

DM calling the do nothing Ast Mgr on why is our store so slow today( obvious answer: No one walking thru the front door) So instead of driving to the store from his house and seeing what's happening, he wants a report from the do nothing ast mgr,(every 15 mins) if the front line gets insurance, perks,New slammed lines,set up an go,too nobody in the store? They work from home and go on conference calls If you look at the big picture so far this month the quota is unattainable with too many reps working in the store so with the new monthly attainment model of reaching 80% of quota or 3 months of non attainment you're gone. So the thinning of the ranks have begun,there is not enough volume in the stored for everyone to succeed!It's all planned

No better in VGS. Our Director refuses to travel on Mondays and Fridays, disappears after 4PM, and no one in the buildings knows him. Great question

Absolutley nothing and conference calls too read Kpis from reports too see if their underlings are performing or not performing. Visit a store (DM) twice a month (Director) once every 3 mos.

They are useless. They don’t bring any real benefit to the stores. All they do is look at numbers and have meetings about them all day. I have not met any DM or director that actually brings any real benefit

Pretty sure AI could do their job for them 20 times more efficiently. Can half of them, pay front lines more, and call it a day.
