Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

How is your workload?

The dust has definitely settled after the layoffs, so I was wondering how is your workload? I'm asking especially those whose teams lost a few people. I know one team that was halved, and those who are still here are planning to leave because the expectations put on them are unreasonable. Is this the case company-wide?

Everyone focusing on the White part (I’m not), yet this company pushes DIB so hard it’s hard to argue his point.

To the last poster responding: that person is 100% accurate about not going anywhere especially if you’re white. I did make the decision to leave several years ago, and this was after being with Capital One over 20 years. I saw what happened to the company after George Floyd and 2020. Roles were created specifically for black associates and you had to be black to post for them. How the he-l is that not racist??! Fu-k Capital One!! The best decision is to just walk away on your own. I wish I would’ve done it much sooner when I saw what was happening to the white associates and the racism brewing.

Why don’t you just quit? Nobody is keeping you here. It’s tough for everyone right now. Don’t blame it on “being white”. Take some ownership. You are someone choosing to do less because you weren’t selected for a job you wanted and then blaming it on discrimination. It sounds like you’re the problem and you’re just proving everyone right that didn’t hire you.

Everyone should just quit in mass this company doesn’t care about any of us lol. I used to be a major top performer in my dept, I’ve since just done slightly above the bare minimum since. Multiple interviews leading to no where, failed promises, increased work load and expectations, lack of transparency about layoffs, and low pay have made the decision easy for me. Enjoy the bare minimum I’m done breaking my back for Pennies. I suggest everyone do the same, hard work gets you no where in this company. Especially if you’re white
