Here is the plan - all of us only use half of our severance. The other half we put in an investment account. Now we have $200 million in the bank!
Now we use half of that and write a fat check and go up to JD and say “hey dude, looky here. here’s $100 million to walk away. If you like this company at all just walk away.” This guy is gone and we save Nike. Problem fu--ing solved
Now that we saved Nike, Nike starts growing again and realizes they need to hire the same exact roles that were just fired. So we all get our jobs back
But now, hold on, remember that extra $100 million? Now we have a Nike lottery for $5-20 million each year. We do a monthly lottery for $1 million. Guess what? If we lay off 1000 people, after 83 years everyone will win the lottery and get at least $1 million more!
We get rich. We save the company!
Now that’s how we use our investment capacity!
