AI has her set up to be a habitual liar. He just has to pull the rug out from under her. I never met a more gullible person.
What a fantastic, funny and true comment. LOL

The VP above me was a loser too, and he didn’t know it either.
"My manager was a loser, but he didn’t know it. "
LOL
My manager was a loser, but he didn’t know it.
“ everyone knows whether they are a winner or a loser “
I hope that you are not in sales.
Some have been whacked and never saw it coming
Let's be honest here. Deep down inside everyone knows whether they are a winner or a loser and hence, whether they are near the top or bottom of their team's stack ranking. Winners are in demand and their scope tends to extend beyond their formal teams. On the other hand losers tend to be isolated, possibly even working to avoid taking on additional visibility and/or work. This isn't rocket science.
In summary you already know whether you're at risk of getting whacked. Whether or not you have access to your stack rank is irrelevant.
It’s an election year. Everyone has to look good.
I bet if you could make something public, you could put yourself at the very top.
I bet if you had the money you could change your stack rank.
Even though they are real, they are not useful for compensation, except firing.
But firings are what this board is all about, so stack ranks are of great interest here.

Top rankers vs bottom rankers difference in overall focal is few undies
Absolutely, gratuitous butt kissing will get you everywhere at Oracle.
What a fantastic, funny and true comment. LOL

Absolutely, gratuitous butt kissing will get you everywhere at Oracle. Aka positive “visibility” for your manager.
if there is a number on your performance review - it makes sense it can be rank stacked.
from what I saw in CX lay offs, it had nothing to do with performance, the primary reasoning was location and to what projects you are assigned.
There’s nothing bigger than the original problem. They’re lying. There’s nothing that can be done if law enforcement is corrupt. They think they have the corner on something and they are looking at the tip of the ice berg.
Laws need to be changed to protect people and they are looking to see how they can use it for themselves. Stupid, clueless men.
LOL either form may help prevent you from getting fired.
"The rank is calibrated by how much your boss likes you. "
Do you mean "like" as in your boss recognizes how productive you are and appreciates the job you do?
Or do you mean, well... y'know, like (the other kind)?
The rank is calibrated by how much your boss likes you.
100% true ORCL and no where related to your work or anything else. See other post how to avoid a layoff at ORCL
Suggest your friend to work with your manager, else plan for an exit. If already in bottom 20%, slim chance of escaping the unfortunate.
The rank is calibrated by how much your boss likes you.
So if my friend is in the bottom 20% then Oracle is going to whack him/her?
Yes, real but you can only access your overall rating in the system and not stack rank. Bottom most are always almost laid off. You manager will never tell your rank either.
