Is it just me or does anyone else also think there are quite some bullies that masquerade as leaders? These leaders want to do a “performance assessment” of you but there is no oversight of their performance, that is until you go to HR. But HR would be in bed with managers.

loved my direct manager when i was still there, the more up you went after that the less i liked them.
This sounds like a great middle manager who acts like they care but doing. nothing to stand up for you.
