You can't pile so much cr-p on people and not expect them to be negatively affected by it. I know management doesn't care about us, but don't they care about lost productivity due to this?

There are many excellent comments below and I hope top leadership is paying attention! Hoping those who have it in them to remain positive can keep the "hope" going in their departments that it will get better. There has to be a better way to keep morale up than just a bunch of talk and not listening to understand and surveys that mean absolutely nothing in the end.
Post ID: @3qxe+1rKPkkoL- Absolutely spot on and fabulous post!!
There are several in management throughout big H that try to remain relevant when they don't know anything about the roles of the people they are actually leading and what their teams actually do. There are a lot of really good people that work here that do care, but the ones busting out the work on the daily do not get the recognition they deserve. Lots of talking and not enough listening to understand, just listening to say well... "we asked for feedback" but not willingness to deep dive into the what is actually being expressed. How are these leaders getting 6 figures??? I've heard from so many of associates with constant feeling of anxiety, stress, and the feeling of hopelessness. The true voice does not matter. Moral is extremely down accords the board and there are many leaders who just refuse to see the issues and listen or make changes without truly taking in account the entire process while putting their entire team on the chopping block.
Sad that so many have to come to a place like this to read the realities and expressing their feelings here. I hope that many see the truth that they are unwilling to see and that associates start to speak up and expose the ones who are a joke! You can clearly see who does the work and who is just a pulse collecting a paycheck.
It is a shame especially since there are many efforts to make this a great place to work by others who actually listen rather than trying to save their own job by trying to make themselves look good. Some create unnecessary toxicity and it is a shame! Humana has been an amazing opportunity for so many over the years. I am remaining hopeful that top leaders take a look at the leadership below them and put them in the microscope and compare how they lead to the people who are doing the work. You will find that the people doing the work are the ones who should be put in those leadership roles next! They are your diamonds waiting to be found! Stay strong H!
You are expected to do more with less. But the Board are doing less with more. Think about that for a minute.
Happy CMO retirement day! Thank god she’s gone. Hopefully her poor leadership team goes with her and morale and positive culture can start being built again.
Why are they constantly pushing profits over people, and appealing to shareholders instead of understanding that employees make the business successful and profitable.
Sadly, when you’re getting monies from Medicaid and Medicare, it’s not the employees that make a business successful, but the reimbursement
I’m contractor and was planning to get full time
I’m so tired of having the sunday scaries. I’m overwhelmed and stressed all the time. I’m so tired of upper leadership telling us that they understand how we feel, because they don’t. I’m tired of the lack of transparency. I learn more information from this website, than internal Humana communication. I’m so tired of constantly fearing that I’ll be laid off. At some point, does leadership have a cohesive strategy to fix employee morale? Are they going to focus on employee retention, instead of constant layoffs? Why are they constantly pushing profits over people, and appealing to shareholders instead of understanding that employees make the business successful and profitable.
💯 Agree with four prior posters. Humana has turned into a toxic, demoralizing employer with downright discriminatory and illegal HR practices. They basically want people to work for free.
Expected to do more with less. Stretch assignments are to do work Humana is not willing to pay for. Production numbers are crazy. The insurance now offered is a joke and when they say we really want to know how you feel - they don't because then you are a target! This is absolutely the worse work environment.
I have never seen such a toxic environment as we are in right now. I think this will be very impactful and we may not rebound from it. It is as though they are trying to destroy us from within. The entire top echelon is to blame.
Leadership always says we function at a lean capability and have a small team to maximize productivity and efficiency, but that isn’t always necessary a good thing. We’re understaffed and need help. There’s no reason why 1 person is expected to do all of this work.
I agree. I have been less efficient and making more mistakes. Some times I just randomly click around or type random things because I’m so mentally exhausted. This is easily the most stressed I have ever been in my life. We are getting scolded like children for leaving our desks for 5 min. What if I’m using the bathroom? Idk. It’s extremely sad. Upper leadership does not care, they want us to quit. Saves them money in the long run. Horrible culture right now.
