Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Nike does not care about employees

To them, we are a dime a dozen. The main focus right now is short term costs and short term stock price. This is, without doubt, putting the long term future of the company at risk, but they're not concerned with that. As long as they are getting paid the big bucks and getting the big bonuses, the future does not matter. We do not matter.

Well I mean when they lay people off only to rehire with ETWs of course all they care about is image and bottom line. How else do we achieve a 2 billion dollar savings plan LOL.

Can we all agree nobody cares about anyone and move along? Employees don't care about their employers, they switch jobs to increase their earnings. Employers don't care about their employees, they switch employees to increase their earnings.

If you think Nike has ever been anything but a capitalistic machine obsessed with the bottom line at the cost of employees, you’re delusional

That’s late stage capitalism for you. The glory days of Nike are long gone and the people at the top are going to continue pillaging what’s left of the brand while everyone else suffers
