Here quick chat with Director red script like a robot didn’t have HR or my manager on there didn’t say anything about severance that someone will follow up which is a kick in the gut because now you have to simmer on it even more
NYC - Was sent a quick chat meeting this AM. Got laid off
Just got informed from managing director. I'm C13 in Florida 15+ years, Risk Management. Apparently HR will contact us with severance package details. No HR contact info was provided. Very scripted message to satisfy their legal obligations: 'We are in the process of aligning the organization to the new operation model... want to identify opportunities for a simpler more efficient organization... Under the new structure we'd like to have, your current role has been eliminated and you will not have a role in your current team. You can apply within the company throughout the notice period of 4/1-15. You're eligible for an exit package that includes severance pay. Blah, blah... We are here to support you. Do you have any questions'.
It's possible that when they say the AVP title is going away they mean that that particular AVP role has been eliminated.
My director set up an 8:30am meeting tomorrow to explain the reorg.
The director invited everyone on my current team except one lower level colleague (I assume he's gonna get riffed).
Today our former manager (svp) was riffed as well.
When laid off was told the AVP title is not going to be used anymore. I don’t know what that means for current AVPs who are fired.
@fnx+1rIg0s7Z I'm wondering the same thing. Can someone please explain the post below? Thanks!

@ogo+1rIg0s7Z What does this mean for current AVPs?
3 laid off in USPB COO: one c-15, one c-14, one c-13 with notice period thru middle of April. A few others moved to different teams/reporting lines. Rest of us found out we are safe this morning, at least for the end of q1 reorg.
Got off a call with my manager and MD, 4/1 is when notice period starts and 4/14 is the day the access is removed. Supposedly will receive communication from HR in a day or two. Based at Irving in O&T with just under 2 year tenure. So what exactly is notice period? MD wants me to wrap up my work and look for internal opportunities in that period. Also in other threads there was smtn about employees getting more severance if the salary was over $100k, what exactly is the deal?

What’ll happen to people who are currently AVPs then? Could you please explain more?
From O&T, 20 people layoff from Manila and 15 from Warsaw, continue to happens at Irving and Costa Rica.

Are they changing title from SVP to VP and one level down?
Was just informed by my boss that I will now be a IC instead of a SVP (C13). Been at Citi for 28 years. This new title change probably makes it easier to eliminate these roles if needed in the future. Glad I still have a job.
phase 4 will stick a fork in people... lots of people getting push down shifting to bad managers.
Quick question/ are the layoff meetings set one on one. Or is it a team invite?
NY(not NYC though), client org
