I heard a rumor about Global centralizing certain functions and downsizing Geo teams, but I'm not convinced that's the best approach

Think of what makes no sense at all to those that do the work, and that’s what’s going to happen.
Don’t think it’s the best approach. What we’ve learned is Nike management doesn’t know how to do things
After seeing phase 1, don't assume anything will be done logically or in a way that sets us up for success.
For cost cutting - Yes it works.
As far as actual work and delivery is concerned, It will slow down drastically. That was the rationale 3 years back for moving people to geo and it still is true.
