Hello,
I have received offer from Nike for Product manager, TC is 236,000 which is 40k more than my current job. Should I join it? I heard lots of layoffs are happening.
You certainly have that special mix of being both d-mb and an a*e that I find in most product managers, so welcome aboard!
Ok this made me laugh 😅
236K & Nike PM doesn't go well together.
ROFL "Grump couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction wash over him. The simple act of accomplishing something, however trivial, filled him with a sense of accomplishment he hadn't felt in ages."
Deep within the heart of a desolate forest, there dwelled a troll named Grump. He was a creature of solitude, his days passing in quiet isolation beneath the shadow of towering trees. With no companions to speak of, Grump found solace in the simplicity of his surroundings, finding comfort in the routine of his solitary existence.
One dreary afternoon, as Grump trudged through the underbrush, he stumbled upon a small, dark hole nestled amongst the roots of an ancient oak tree. Curiosity piqued, he reached out a gnarled hand, grasping a nearby stick and thrusting it into the hole with a grunt of effort.
But try as he might, Grump couldn't seem to get the stick to fit properly. Frustration gnawed at him as he struggled to maneuver the unwieldy object into position. Just when he was on the brink of giving up, a donkey named Eeyore ambled into view, drawn by the commotion.
With a sigh and a flick of his long ears, Eeyore offered his assistance, his weary eyes reflecting a quiet determination. Together, Grump and Eeyore worked in clumsy harmony, their efforts guided by a shared sense of purpose.
And when at last the stick slid snugly into the hole, Grump couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction wash over him. The simple act of accomplishing something, however trivial, filled him with a sense of accomplishment he hadn't felt in ages.
But as Grump stepped back to admire their handiwork, he realized that he didn't want the moment to end. There was a strange sense of fulfillment that came from completing such a simple task, a feeling of connection that he hadn't experienced in far too long.
And so, with Eeyore's patient assistance, Grump pulled the stick out of the hole and tried again. And again. And again. Each time, the process became easier, the motions smoother, until it felt like second nature.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the forest floor, Grump and Eeyore continued their repetitive task, their laughter mingling with the rustle of leaves in the breeze. And in that moment, Grump realized that he wasn't alone after all—he had found a friend in the most unlikely of places.
For in the quiet companionship of a donkey and the simple pleasure of putting a stick in a hole, Grump had discovered a newfound sense of belonging, a bond that transcended the boundaries of loneliness and brought warmth to his solitary heart. And as they continued their ritual long into the night, Grump knew that he would never be truly alone again.
I mean, you could tell it was BS after “hello” 😂
Only if it’s worth the risk of being unemployed a year later
I was told the hiring freeze does not apply to DEI diversity hires.
If you check at least 17 victim boxes, nobody at Nike can even /attempt/ to refrain from hiring you immediately.
FAKE POST. This is a troll post. There is a hiring freeze at the moment. F*** off.
Don't feed the trolls
You also may be part of May or upcoming layoffs during your probation period or later period! Good luck with it! If you are ready to get laid off anytime, please join for temporary benefits!
Sure join. Relocate while you are it. Get laid off in May.
You are a real ashat mo--n WTF are you doing asking that kind of question here? Read the room you clueless f-c Seems about right Nike would hire someone with your lack of situational self awareness right now so they can fire your d-mb as* like the rest of us.
My BS detector just went into overdrive. Fake News just to get a reaction is my take.
As long as you have no plans of making it a home and remember it’s a job, take it. If you think they’re going to develop you, allow you to innovate, and stay with the company for a long time this isn’t the place bro.
if you need to relo for this its a hard no- stuff is expensive here
W T F is wrong with you posting this here?
Yah. Sure. Do it.
Join all the other a-holes.
Insensitive prique.
Layoffs and everything aside. Factor in relocation cost and higher taxes and higher expenses of OR ( if you are outside of OR) Also know that there will be waves of layoffs at Nike in the next 3 years
Well… Aren’t you a trailblazer in irony..
What’s base?
Read the room. You know what kind of answer you’re going to get here.
The fact that you got an offer like that and are asking on this forum shows Nike’s hiring mistakes right there… Clearly you’re not that bright…
The level of stupid…
