JD and his leadership teams are in charge of making decisions and he wants to hold his team accountable? Accountable how? They made the bad decisions and as the result people are losing their jobs both Americans and H1Bs... Stop fighting with each other and spreading hate on H1Bs. JD and his team are responsible and guess what they are Americans! Another American put all of you in this spot while having private jets and taking millions in compensations to make bad decisions while other Americans are paying the cost by losing their jobs....

H1Bs and their enablers have a special place in he-l reserved for them.
At some places, they are required to interview at least 2-3 DEI candidates before making an offer. Why can't we implement the same thing for US citizens before hiring an H1B?
Or maybe you have to wait at least 4 months before hiring an H1B? That would at least show that you couldn't find a citizen (in theory). We can't stop people from gaming the system, but at least make them feel some pain if they want to game it.
I think there are 2 different issues here.
Issue 1: JD and his crew made this terrible decision that affects everyone, Americans and H1Bs alike.
Issue 2: The H1B visa issue does affect Americans. No one should be dumping on the visa holders. None of this is their fault. But right now, with so many Americans out of work and struggling to find tech jobs, hiring managers need to remember that H1Bs are only supposed to be hired if they can't find an American to do the job. With so many people out of work, it shouldn't be hard to find an American. Wanting to prioritize citizens doesn't mean people hate H1B visa holders. Let's be reasonable. Pause the program until Americans can find jobs. That was the intent of the program.
