Yes this is how it works. Hire new thinking! But in reality it costs more with severance and relocation plus the new person likely makes more. So in the end they pay more to trade for a clueless person that takes a year plus to ramp up. It’s mo--nic.
Maybe. Jumped from a 45 to 50 though. the rehire will cost them twice as much.
Maybe salary cut. The d-mbest "penny wise pound foolish" move they can make.
