Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

No raise for me

I work in CCB-Home Lending Tech (602) and no raise for me for last 3 years. I was told by my Director that because of high Fed interest rates home sales is down and we are on a tight budget.
If I move to CIB or AWM on 602, would I get a raise or do I need to apply for 603 position?

Wells Fargo is opening a tech hub in Columbus and typically pay a lot more than Chase, a lot of chase leaders jumped ship too…I might consider shopping around

Simple. Our supposedly raises and bonus went to JD’s raise and bonuses and to shareholders. Since we employees are just clogs in machines that can be replaced, our cuts are no needed. You mad? You can always leave and another replacement will come replace you

Its typical of Chase. JD just got a 4.3% raise to $35 million and they always pull the we just didn't have a good year despite record profits and payment to share holders. JD always talks about the wealth gap but Chase is one of the worst ratios wise from the top executive pay the bottom. Plus in 18 years JD has been awarded 8.6 millions shares of Chase. While the bottom gets no shares and have performance bonuses taken away. That's over a billion dollars in Chase stock. Think about it, and all it does is grow because he wants his quarterly dividend and doesn't care about the little people in the company.

CIB hears the same about we aren't profitable yet we haven't been profitable due to business decisions to give away merchant services as part of a bundle. Its excuses to not pay their workers...

No one is really hiring. Most companies have a freeze. And now AI robot does the first interview. Look it up on youtube. Just be glad you get a paycheck and healthcare. Life is tough at the moment with high interest rates. Sure the economy shows people have jobs, but many have two jobs just to get by (pay the bills).

I also didn’t get a raise. That’s all good, gives me an excuse to quiet quit :)

Same here. I work in CCB Home Lending and have not received a raise for 3 years straight, even though I get good performance reviews. In my decades-long career, I had received a raise each and every year until 3 years ago. It is very disheartening and makes one feel as though it doesn't matter how hard you try or how much value you add, you will not be rewarded.

It’s not the the department. I work in CIB and I experienced the same thing. Managers will feed you BS on why you didn’t get a raise, sometimes they don’t even bother to put in effort to come up sound excuses. Mine was I wasn’t in the office in person long enough so higher manager “didn’t know me”…. Best to leave and apply for another role in a other company, if you want to still work here, reapply back here to get a raise that way. We got people left the firm and came back again as a higher position

Just leave man! and then reapply to a higher role thats the best way to get a raise and better position. you WILL not grow as an internal and waiting for promotions or raises
