So, if your group isn't told to WFH next week, does that mean that we have to wait until May to find out our fates? So not only do we have to just sit and wait with the anxiety, but we have to come to campus next week in what I am sure is going to be a real pleasant work environment. That's diabolical.

Oregon state law requires only one party to consent to recordings of phone calls or other electronic communications.
Only in-person conversations require all parties' consent.
GT is a very large org. It must be time to thin GT.
Still no email for us on WFH
@vhk+1r6ibO52 is the d-mbest person on the planet lmao
I have the same worries. But if I make it through next week, I’ll at least be grateful for the extra time. The job market is bleak and no one’s hearing back on applications for jobs well qualified for. So to think I could have an extra several months of pay to save and prepare, brings me a bit of comfort. Even if the work environment is difficult to deal with, and I understand the fear of the unknown and anxiety that comes with it, there are incredible people that have to start facing the realities of unemployment next week. And I’m going to choose to cheer them on and support however I can until it’s my turn, whenever that may be.
Fu-k off @vhk, all of Global Tech were told to wfh next week. Only a few thousand people there. Nbd.
It’s not a rumor. GT got a message this evening telling us all to work from home starting tomorrow through next week.
Laws in Oregon prohibit recording people without their knowledge so anyone thinking about this should be prepared to get sued.
The work from home thing was always a rumor. Layoffs by zoom == Twitter videos and bad media. Layoffs face to face == you can’t name and shame them with selfies.
I’d say cloudfare’s recent layoffs made any HR folks wary of this.
Thats my guess. Nike is not doing well in the media and they’re hyper conscious of that, for sure
