I’m talking about quitting, not severance. Do I need to take my PTO before I give notice or will it be paid out as a lump sum when I leave if unused?

no sabbatical time! Use it or lose it.
If you quit, you get paid out PTO and Sabbatical time if you have any. Not floating holidays or Covid leaves.
I heard HR prints a sheet of paper out for every hour you have of PTO, wad it up, then toss it in the trash.
But seriously, did everyone just stop reading stuff? This is all on the HR website.
Heh. Nobody reads the post.
If you quit I wouldn’t expect pto payout.
Last paycheck. Read the HR site. Seriously.
You will get paid lump sum.
Not sure if that is after May 3 or right away tho?
What state are you in? This is state dependent but in general you will be paid for earned but unused PTO.
