Thread regarding Blackbaud Inc. layoffs

The CEO was arrested on a DUI last night

Two days after the bad news from the earnings call
After the stock dropped 12%
Our projects are all a complete mess and everyone is spread thin.
Whatcha think is coming next?

Yeah. Hold on to your hats.

If this is what it takes to get new leadership then I hope they move fast before Mike and his team destroy our company. Mike should start a sports bar with his team they can drink the profits. He would also make a great car salesman. We all just hope the Clearlake deal happens fast and new leadership comes in fast.

Merit increases to only those not already on an LTIP plan. This is bullsh-t, this is just a way to keep from adding costs to high salary folks and arbitrarily keep costs lower. They are only doing this so Clearlake doesn't see more high salary folks. I bet the effing C suite will get extra stock bonuses worth millions while most get nothing. If not on an LTIP great for you that you get a potential raise. If you have no idea what LTIP is ask your manager and not only demand a merit raise but demand to be added to LTIP as well because not being on LTIP shows the haves and have nots of this company. If your on LTIP get mad and get loud. Demand that you get a merit raise as well. Have those on LTIP not been performing and working as hard as those not. Why should LTIP folks be punished because this inept c suite can't make as much as they want. Maybe time for the c suite to lose some shares. If this company cannot afford merit raise for ALL who deserve them, then the c suite does not deserve more stock. Stop buying back shares to artificially bump the stock and pad your own pockets and actually invest in this damn company for a change. C suite you fu--ing su-k.

Soooo…. ELT thinks robbing Peter to pay Paul (not give merit increases to some just so they can make a show of increase to another group) will improve the worse score on the engagement survey… LEADERSHIP? Hahaha. Typical Blackbaud leadership thinking. Until this ELT is gone, that engagement score will never be more than an F grade.

He will sell his stock and head off to Jimmy Buffet land. Him and all his buddies. But the great news is for us with them gone. Don’t forget he gets to duck out on his other court cases from share holders. Hey one person in this blog likes him must be a buddy getting rich with him. Was chatting with other employees and we all feel the same. Time to retire Mike please.

This is just a delay tactic by his lawyers. After the buyout when he is no longer at Blackbaud is when the case will be settled. Hopefully that is soon.

Go a long way to build a better relationship with your employees also. Fighting this will only show you can buy off the legal system and no one will respect that. You were clearly drunk let’s move on say your sorry gain respect back and the lord will help you move on. God bless looking forward to your sorry letter. You can do this mike

Hahaha. Clearly the drunk, his son, or one of the enabling ELT or board members is clearly reading these posts. Sounds a lot like Todd Lant. (https://www.thelayoff.com/post/@1hwcr+1r670FPt)

But to the last post, he decided he wanted a jury to decide his fate. Guess he figures he can fool at least one of them (or buy them off)

I guess our company likes their CEO to drive drunk. Is that what a good CEO does? Since Mike isn’t a good CEO then this is perfect. Watch he will get away with it. This is more about driving and drinking but gives a few of us the opportunity to speak our minds. Freedom of speech.

Pie face must be reading look last comment. It’s all about keeping shareholders happy and getting his buddies rich. Go have another drink. Freedom of speech my friend. What you did was wrong drinking and driving. Face it and own up to it. This is also about money buys you out of crimes like this. Yes Mike driving like you did was a crime. Sell to Clearlake and go destroy another company. Leave your employees alone or lay them off your good at that. Be a man and say I am sorry wait that will admit you were wrong.

The fact he was driving drunk and not a good ceo can’t disappear unless he can delete the dui video. This is what politics buys you. Sad but a fact.

Pray for Clearlake we have hope to start a new life away from Wall Street and Mike. He can start a vodka company like the rest of the Hollywood types with all the money he makes with all the rest of his buddies. Don’t worry karma is out there. We all work with this guy PONZI Mike is perfect for this guy. We all knew he would get away with this. Thank you police for keeping us safe and keeping drunks off the road.

This guy is a con artist and all about himself. We need a person that is all about giving back vs taking all he can from company. He is also on a power trip and cooking the books. Please investigate him and talk to us the employees not his buddies also skimming money out of a non profit company. Investigate please.

Let’s show up at court and support the policeman that stopped him from hurting someone. This guy needs to retire and let our company grow. Let’s take his salary and put it back to work for the people that use our products. Your fired ponzi Mike. Shareholders get ready for the real story.

It’s clear Mike surrounding himself with yes men. They will help him cover up his lack of leadership and be the fall guys to protect him for 2 more year of his contract. The chairman in on it or just letting it implode. Until the stock takes a major hit mikie can hang around. He had some ruff waters with his court cases coming up. First the dui that should be interesting then the class action by customers. He should be focusing on a retirement plan but wait his ego and agenda not in the way. The share holders should be digging deep and talking to us the employees who know the real issues. Please share holders help us get rid of this leadership.

We want our old company back. Also the board of directors all his good ol boys all about protect mikie. He is another Bernie Madoff in the making. Our products don’t protect our customers he is to busy lining his own pockets. Wake up share holders please. The guy has an associates degree as a technician and not an engineer. Honorary degree from University of New Haven come on! This guy a phony.

Karma will get this guy. All the share holders now know this CEO is another Bernie M ponzi Mike. I read below and see how his employees feel about him. Watching the dui video says it all.

This would have a different out come if Mike simply said I made a mistake. Great men admit their mistakes weak men look for an out. It’s Easter Sunday Mike ask for forgiveness and admit the truth. None of your family defending you Mike face the truth. You were drunk and now we know a poor leader. Appears your all about you like employees say. Sad a company that had great roots you destroyed.

Court date coming my uncle going to see what Mikes big time lawyer will do for him. We have the video of the drunk if he gets off we can all protest. Where’s the lady he was out with, was she hiding in the back of the Hollywood SUV? The sad part it’s our money we all worked for this guy is using to defend himself being drunk. We would all actually respect him more if he would say he is sorry and face the facts.

He is a player and won’t face up to the facts he destroyed the company. That’s Mike the pie faced player always smiling at the ladies. I wonder if the rest of his family knows the real Mike. Hope the share holders and customers use this in court for this breach we had. Note 100 % on Mike and maybe they can drag that Chairman that can’t see the real Mike come talk to employees they will tell you what’s going on. Retire Mike and board just pay him his last 2 years and show him the door. Mike get ready for court you have a few cases ahead of you. Advice use an Uber when out drinking.

Wait until the press uncovers the truth. The people got it right he milked this company. Funny a company that sells nonprofit software and CEO gets rich. Maybe he should run for political office he would fit right in. All about Mike

So no shareholder protection plan in place? Well we know this ELT and board aren’t buying BB stock, they only sell it. So sounds like a gamble where either the stock buyback will give BB a larger majority share holding and it can’t be diluted OR someone like Clearlake can go on a buying binge and seize some control if not fully takeover. Unfortunately Clearlake won’t do anything until this class-action ruling. Heck they may get a bargain if part of the class-action avoidances is agreeing to remove current board and leadership. I do find it hilarious that BB’s defense against the CA is that clients should have bought premium security services. Typical BB! They’d force their clients to buy air if they could find a company already doing that and they bought them. (Because BB doesn’t innovate, it buys!)

Wow Blackbaud board… last month you approved stock buy back and this month you cancel that? Let me guess… class-action is about to be approved and announced and like typical boards you’re going to take the money and run! I hope your stock tanks even if that means my stock tanks… oh wait… I sell all my BB stock like you do!!! Come on Clearlake!!! Take over this poorly ran company and make it what it should be!!!

For all the college grads developing software with SkyUx and thinking that they are giving back to society and non profits... wake up. You are working to get an OK salary and to line the pockets of Mike G and his groupies.

Did he ever convert the stock bonus back to a cash based bonus?

Watching the dashcam footage...I love that between how he drives like he owns the highway and the attitude he reportedly gave to an officer simply doing his job, Mike G is straight up, 100% the giant douchebag-tool I've always imagined him to be in real life.
This guy su-ks and I'm sorry, if you are someone even in middle management simply yes'ing your manager who is yes'ing the ELC and anyone else supporting this sc-mbag, CONGRATS because you are also part of the problem.
This company is embarrassing.

What a disgrace and not one employee defends this guy. Wake up chairman where is your response us share holders are demanding a response from the board. Go hang out what some pit bulls Mike. It takes a dog to know one. No one is buying your 7 am out with family. What this one’s name Mike you like going to lunch with all the sales girls. You come back smiling ear to ear. Hope your wife doesn’t buy these stories we don’t. We see your pathetic face more than she does. Retire already we want someone that invests in our company not milks it dry. You will be busy in. Court between the class action suit and your dui date. What about this hack you let happen we told you but you were to busy milking the company dry then cutting us to show a profit. How do you look at your self in the mirror. I don’t see one note below saying Mike G is a great guy. All your board buddies selling stock ready for the crash. Wait until they see the cr-p software we have because of you Mike. Your fired Mike!

Come on already. Either Mike G walk away like a leader should realize they should do. Opps wait I forgot who I was just talking about. Your not a leader... Your an out for me myself and I out of touch middle aged white male with power issues and absolutely no effing leadership qualities.

Unfortunately the board wont care about this video, they are too chummy with dear old out of touch daddy Mike G.

Shareholders wont be able to do anything either based on the C suite and board owning so much stock and so many institutional investors present. Not like we can GameStop this board into submission.

Time to dress up the resumes and nove on folks. This once awesome company is a shell of itself and I hope ClearLake is lurking waiting to pounce or some other company with deep enough pockets a true good vision and want to buy it.
