I keep hearing rumors the goal is to get everyone back into centers. That it’s going to start with upper management then move to supervisors then reps. Anyone else?

RTO by EOY, 3 times/ week
Just received and email about an in person blitz at our Alpharetta office. Where will can work from the office. We will be reimbursed for mileage. And so it begins ….
Honestly I doubt. They would sooner lay us all off and give everything but upper management to the vendors.
By 2025 the majority of you in care, tech, support won’t have jobs anymore. It’s all about replacing you sooner than later. Your hybrid work dreams are laughable, that’s costs Verizon more money vs working from home. The wireless industry is trash and oversaturated. Verizon is dead and this company will be sold off one day. You’re just a number on a spreadsheet with a high salary. If you want to be depressed and fat stay at Verizon until they give you the boot. There’s better options out there, move on from this abomination of a company.
Heard the same, that VZ is in the process of leasing spaces in states where no hubs exist today as a step to implement a hybrid model across the entire company by EOY. Directives will be coming down from EVPs so there wont be any ifs, ands or but’s when its time
This is true if you are a current employee. All you have to do is ask, and you'll get your answer. RTO has started and will continue. It is currently in the works. Right now, it's only for band 5 and 6 employees. Eventually, they will send out bands 7 and 8, but that is true currently for higher-up management. My supervisor also informed my team that all sups received an email stating that all supervisors will need to RTO a couple of days out of the week. He mentioned it is still unknown as to what the plan is exactly. But you have to remember, not all states have hubs. Well, don't get too comfortable; they are looking for new sites and renting out spaces. New equipment has been installed in current hubs. It's coming for sure. In the mean time I would recommend taking advantage of their tuition reimbursement. That's what our supervisor recommend because no one said layoffs are off the table it can happen at any time. Why would you trust Verizon we can't even get a decent raise look at your pay rate has it changed. They said we would get a raise if stayed with the company for all the people that didn't get the severance that was a joke I got .10. What about them saying we would get a bonus with this year's sti of $2500 now they are saying that was never offered to us see lies don't trust no one .
Everyone assigned to a building should just go in the same day especially those hub days. just pull up your swuare foot of carpet since there won’t be near enough chairs/desks.
In case you havent noticed yet, since last year companies have had the upper hand on this matter, and many started using RTO mandates as a way to “rightful” terminate those that fail to comply - its a win strategy for corporations, reduce payroll while avoiding the potential cost associated with layoffs
Its just a matter of months, if not weeks .. get your a$$ back into the office!
True
I doubt it. They want to save every penny they can. Why would they rent office space when it only costs them the lowest internet plan they pay us for.
3 days is the bare minimum they would like to hit. Per the hub engagement leads, to keep the cafeterias open they’ll need 4 days rto. That’s the ultimate end goal. Probably by late 2025.
@1plr+1r54Ifum - is on point. The plan is to have all hybrid employees reporting to their closest hub 3 times / week by the end of year. Only a few front-line groups will remain WFH
The goal by 2025 is for 3x a week for any/all hybrid employees. Hybrid employees that get RTO mandate should be gradually eased into the three days a week. There are a few test groups out there now to strike the right balance of how fast groups should go.
You have not heard any rumblings about us returning to the office. Stop spreading false info.
Upper management is already at the hubs trying to draw you back with their events and meet and greets. Their director reports will want to be there and then their direct reports who will want their direct deports to be there to show off which might work in some cases.
Won’t do much for me because I don’t work with anyone in the state. Eventually I expect I’ll have to go just like precovid because people in other site have to go so it is only fair that I go.
