Relocating Headquarters: is it time?

What are your thoughts on relocating HQ out of the Midwest?

Will it take care of the deadweights ?

The theory is that most of them won’t want to move and the positions can be filled with new blood from the outside.
Thoughts?

Correct - the C Suite has been gone for a long time. It is unfortunate that much of it was driven initially by COVID and then you add all the social unrest which turned downtown into a ghost town. People do not feel safe and the buzz of being downtown is gone. Corporations want to be in a city they can show off. Other than Derby, when is that Louisville?

It is time the headquarters shift out of Louisville. Leave the deadwood back. Bring in fresh blood. Get rid of the Kentucky lobby in leadership. They are friends with each other and watch each others back. They are ki-ling the company.

You can solve the deadwood problem by insisting that we hire from outside unless there is extraordinary skills. Most of the internal transfers are based on friendship not capabilities.

Bruce relocated to Florida during the pandemic. New CEO lives in Denver. Most everyone else lives elsewhere except for the bu$$ luck/&$s that are trying to be seen. They’re all horrible and will spend eternity in he!! for their debauchery.

It’s already outside Louisville. None of the C suite live here anymore. Closing the tower just formalizes what’s been happening for several years.
