Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

WTF FISERV

Why do we continue to let people go when we don't have enough people to service the clients. Oh that's right, it's more important to have bodies in the office than to take care of the client! We lost people last month who were remote and wouldn't relocate, more leaving on 2/15, and 3/15. So WTF Fiserv, who is going to replace them? People with no experience who will take 6 months to get up to speed. Oh that will make the clients so happy! We have more and more clients deconverting and barely any new ones. What does that mean for core banking?

Now all they need is an American to explain to them what a "Nickel" is. Too bad Fiserv already laid all of those people off. I'm sure the Indians, with their extensive knowledge of the American banking system, will intuitively know what they are supposed to do.

What could go wrong? It is not like government regulations have a time limit or anything.

This has always been the plan.... bigwigs in NYC, business resources in BH & all tech in India. Saw the writing on the wall during covid.

It’s all going offshore and AI. If you make 100k in the US India can do it for $30k or so. Move as many things to India as possible. Forced attrition here for tenured folks and backfill there.

The plan is forced attrition. My team being replaced with India folks. They work off hours during eastcoast daytime scoffing up work. No one cares - because that's the plan. Your years of service, expertise and loyalty is meaningless. It's all about $$$.

Can confirm over 100 employees, all remote, going with the April layoff. Probably the same for each wave of layoffs.

Because the remaining ones that simply won't leave are desperate enough to be exploited

Fiserv is a payments company only. They have no need to Core Banking. They want you to fail so they have an excuse to cut off the entire division.

If everyone moved, they would find some other way of getting rid of all of you.

The Core Banking employees are more resilient than they were expecting, so they have to ratchet up the pressure.

Not just February and March, April dates too. It’s going to continue until all remotes are gone unfortunately.

6 months up to speed? More like 6 years. Nothing like the clients knowing more about the system then Fiserv employees they're calling for help
